Soundtrack of 'Psiarch: Rising' - Parts I and II

Little fun trivia: up until its final rewrite, the manuscript for Psiarch: Rising contained quotes of rock/metal songs which adorned the page of every part and the first page of every chapter of the novel.

I originally did this for three reasons: a) I'm a rocker/metalhead; b) so is Trajan Valence (the MC of the novel), for all he's not a self-insert; and c) I thought it would be a cool thing to do, in addition to sorta 'announce' the overall mood or theme of each part and chapter.

In the end, I removed all these quotes in the final version of the manuscript, even if I had planned to have a proper 'Reference of Quotes' appendix to the book listing them with correct 'scholarly style' attributions. As for the reason I took them out, it simply would have been too much of a hassle (and very expensive!) to acquire permission from each and every group/artist to keep the quotes in the book.

In any event, I thought it would be fun to provide you all with the 'soundtrack' made up of the songs these quotes come from.

(Now, the reason why I didn't go via Spotify for this is because, strangely enough, not all the songs I needed were found there! So, I went the way of YouTube instead).

Thus, without further ado, here is the soundtrack of Parts I and II of Psiarch: Rising.
