To make a long story short: I lost my younger brother in end-of-February following a two year-and-a-half-long fight with cancer. 😢
After losing my mother in 2010 and my father in 2020, both also to cancer, this constituted a third-in-a-row, brutal blow to my heart... 😟
All this to say: this is the single, foremost reason why writing Psiarch: The Reckoning has been so slow, so difficult, so snail's-paced; heck, I even stopped writing outright at some point. Creativity has this quirk of going on strike or drying up when emotions are disrupted by worries, sadness, and then heartbreak... 😕
But... I'm moving forward now. Creative juices are stirring once again. I even got hit with an inspiration for a previously-unseen direction for the Psiarch Chronicles which will definitely lead to a solid 4 books (instead of the initially planned three) for the cycle. Mind you, this will require some (lots!) rewriting of what I've done so far for Psiarch: Reckoning, and this means the book won't be ready for beta reading until fall 2027 at least, but no matter - in this case, the end truly justifies the means. Trust me on this. 😉
So in the meantime, let's keep on rockin', eh?
